Borrowing 

  1. Loans
    • A standard loan period of two weeks exists for materials borrowed, except those materials for which special loan periods have been established.
    • Reference works and local history works are not available for loan.
    • The total number of items on loan to any one member will not exceed 50 items.
    • The number of items that may be borrowed on a particular subject is limited to four if there is a high demand for the materials.
    • DVD/video materials that are classified as “Restricted” by the Canadian Home Video Rating System will not be lent to members under the age of 16. Proof of age is required.
  2. Renewals
    • Library items may be renewed in person, by telephone or by catalogue access in the library or remotely.
    • Items on reserve for other members cannot be renewed.
  1. Holds/Reserves
    • Library items may be reserved in person, by telephone or by catalogue access in the library or remotely
    • When the item becomes available, the member will be notified and asked to pick up the item
    • Items will be held for 5 days except for DVD’s which will be held for 2 days.
  1. Returns
    • Materials borrowed may be returned to the library at the circulation desk.
    • Members are required to return materials on or before the due date.
