The Bancroft Lions Club’s Donation

The Carlow/Mayo Public Library has a new supply of books for young readers thanks to the generosity of the Bancroft Lions Club. With the $150 donation made to purchase  children’s materials, the library ordered five books from the Animal Battles series. The series teaches readers about animals, such as grizzly bears and wolves. As well, four books from the Facing Life’s Challenges series, geared to help youth facing issues such as bullying, illness, and divorce and two books about wetlands and the animals that call them home were also purchased.

Patrons can borrow any of these books by calling CEO/Librarian Carrie McKenzie at 613-332-2544 to arrange curbside pick-up.
